UNC announces five more candidates for GE2015

Suruj Rambachan and Fuad Khan are back in their respective constituencies of Tabaquite and San Juan/Barataria for the September 07 general election. 

UNC Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar made the announcement on Monday at the party's Monday Night Forum at the Guaico Secondary School in the Toco/ Manzanilla constituency.

She also announced that Dr Rupert Griffith, who represented that constituency in the last Parliament, would be retiring and passing the baton to national football icon and current Sports Minister Brent Sancho.

Another new candidate is Dr David Lee, who takes over from Labour Minister Errol McLeod, who announced recently that he was not seeking re-election. 

And Vasant Bharat, former MP for St Augustine in the 2007 Parliament, is returning to electoral politics as the candidate for St Joseph.

Last week she named three candidates.
