Kamla names three candidates for GE2015

Ready for victory. PM Kamla with Nicholas, De Coteau and Seemungal Monday night

Kamla Persad-Bissessar named three candidates for the September 7 general election. She made the announcement on Monday at the UNC's Monday Night Forum (MNF) at the country Club in Maraval.

The three are:

1. Garvin Nicholas - Diego Martin North East
2. Jairam Seemungal - La Horquetta/Talparo
3. Clifton De Coteau - Moruga/Tableland

Nicholas contested the same seat in the 2010 general election against Colm Imbert who secured a narrow victory. This year he is determined to send Imbert into retirement.

Seemungal won the seat in 2010 and this year his PNM opponent is former journalist Maxie Cuffie. De Coteau also won his seat in 2010 and is defending it in 2015 against UWI lecturer Dr Lovell Francis, who is the PNM candidate.
