Kamla drops Chadresh, Partap, Stacy, Gypsy and Cadiz

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar on Friday announced several more UNC candidates for the September 07 general election. 

She will be keeping Ramona Ramdial in Couva North and Rudranath Indarsingh in Couva South. Fazal Karim will replace Stephen Cadiz in Chaguanas East and Raziah Ahmed will be taking on Faris al Rawi in San Fernando West. 

Winston Peters has been dropped in Mayaro in favour of Roger Morales and Dr Lakhram Bodoe will replace Chandresh Sharma in Fyzabad. In Cumoto, Colin Partap will stand down to allow Christine Newallo Hosein run. 

In Tunapuna economist Wayne Munroe is the UNC candidate and in Oropouche West Stacy Roopnarine will be replaced by Vidia Guyadeen-Gopeesingh.  Campaign Manager Rodney Charles would replace Nizam Baksh in Naparima.

The full People's partnership lineup of 41 candidates will be presented on Sunday at a mass rally at the Ato Bolden Stadium in Couva. The rally begins at three in the afternoon.

The partners are the Congress of the People (COP), NJAC and The Tobago Organisation of the People (TOP). NJAC has said it will contest five seats.
