EXPRESS REPORT: 11 charged with Dana's murder

Rajaee Ali

Eleven people have been charged with the murder of Dana Seetahal SC and will appear in court on Monday.

The announcement was made a short while ago at a press conference by deputy Police Commissioner Glenn Hackett. Police Commissioner Stephen Williams was also present.

The 11 are:

1. Rajaee Ali, 29, of Carapo, Arima;
2. Ishmael Ali 30, Carapo, Arima ;
3. Garrett Wiseman, Lange Park, Chaguanas;
4. Leston Gonzales, 25, Malabar, Arima;
5. Ricardo Stewart , 30, Arima;
6. Stephen Cummings 33, Carapo, Arima;
7. Devon Wiseman 29, Malabar, Arima and D'abadie;
8. Earl Wolfe Richards 48, Waterhole, Cocorite;
9. Kevin Parkinson 28, Waterhole, Cocorite;
10. Hamid Ali 24, Malabar, Arima
11. Rougier Boucher

Released without charge:

1. Imam Yasin Abu Bakr
2. Imam Hassan Ali of Malabar
3. Keston Seales of Carapo
4. Keidon Forde of Arima
5. Keston Modeste of Arima

Charge under Anti-Gang Act with being members of a gang:

• Dion Peters 35, Malabar and Calcutta Road Carapo;
• David Hector,35, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca;
• Stacy Griffith, 29, Carapo, Arima.

Griffith is also charged with committing an act benefitting a gang.

Rajaee Ali was also charged with being a gang leader and all the murder accused are charged with being gang members.
